About Us

Worm Bar was founded 40 years ago by a woman Ann from West Virginia. Ann attended large fishing shows in Mid West & East Coast selling her soft plastics in bulk by the pound. The Worm Bar was set up like a candy store with 125 10 pound cubes filled with soft plastic worms, grubs, frogs, trick sticks, craws, lizards in every size and color. ALL for freshwater fishing. You would take a plastic bag, fill up it up and put it on the scale!  In 2010 Ann decided it was time to retire. That's where I come in. I purchased the Worm Bar in 2010.Ann was extremely happy to be selling to another woman.

Growing up on Long Island and being surrounded by water it was only natural to fish. My mother's business partner Martha initially taught me how to fish for carp in her backyard lake. I would ride my bike to her house after school to fish. I was hooked!  I freshwater fished with my brothers, went snapper fishing and crabbing at local docks. As I got older I would go out on local party boats for flounder, fluke, stripers, porgies, blackfish & seabass. I've been a  member of the Lady Reelers Fishing Club for 25 years. (New York's longest running women's fishing club).

The Worm Bar still continues to be run in the same tradition Ann started 40 years ago. The only exception....I added a lot of Saltwater Plastics. 4" to 9" Shads, 4", 6" & 8" Curl Tail Grubs in a dozen colors, Jerk Minnows, Paddle Tails, Eels, Squid, Shrimp, Mojos and lots of Jig Heads. The Worm Bar can be found at Fishing Shows in the Northeast January through March. I am constantly adding new product so stop by often.
